A signalling problem between Preston Park and Hassocks is causing delays of up to 5 minutes between Brighton and Gatwick Airport. Disruption is expected to continue until the end of service.

A landslip has occurred near Armathwaite causing delays of up to 30 minutes to trains between Carlisle and Appleby.

Description

Following flooding and landslips caused by poor weather earlier this month, trains are now able to run normally between Carlisle and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh.

Amended ScotRail services until 4 January 2016 due to closure of Forth Road Bridge

Description

The Forth Road Bridge is currently closed and undergoing emergency repairs.  To try and keep people moving, ScotRail are providing extra seats by lengthening trains and running additional services.  The latest estimate for the bridge to reopen is Monday 4 January.

Until the bridge reopens, the following alterations will apply

  • Longer trains will run on the Fife Circle line (Edinburgh - Inverkeithing)
  • On Monday to Friday, additional trains will run between Haymarket and Inverkeithing

 

ScotRail have managed to hire some extra trains to provide this extra capacity, but the following alterations will apply on other routes

  • Trains between Anniesland and Glasgow Queen Street will only run hourly
  • Trains between Falkirk Grahamston and Glasgow Queen Street via Cumbernauld will not run and a replacement bus service will operate. A shuttle bus will also run between Falkirk Grahamston and Falkirk High
  • 07:13 Kirkcaldy - Glasgow Queen Street will be diverted to Edinburgh and not call at stations between Dalmeny and Glasgow
  • 09:08 Glasgow Queen Street - Dundee will not run
  • 15:13 Dundee – Glasgow Queen Street will not run
  • 1733 Glasgow – Markinch terminates at Lenzie
Industrial action affecting Caledonian Sleeper services between Tuesday 22 December and Thursday 24 December

Description

Industrial action is being undertaken by the RMT Union between Tuesday 22 December and Thursday 24 December.

This has resulted in the Caledonian Sleeper services on the evenings of Tuesday 22 December and Wednesday 23 December being cancelled.

Passengers that are affected by these cancellations can claim a full refund using this refund form, or rebook their travel via enquiry@sleeper.scot
