What to do if there is no internet?

Last updated:2025/12/22

Most train tickets are now electronic tickets. Although not every ticket absolutely requires internet, it is still recommended to save your tickets before departure, download the PDF, screenshot the QR Code to your phone gallery, or print a paper copy.

Internet on trains or in remote areas is often unstable. Temporarily checking information, finding tickets, or showing tickets may be affected.

It is recommended to prepare a travel SIM card or enable international roaming so your phone has stable internet for peace of mind.

! Reminder: if you are using a Eurail Pass

  • The pass is operated in the mobile app and requires an internet connection throughout, including activating the pass, selecting travel days, and performing ticket verification.
  • Wi-Fi on trains is mostly unstable and cannot be used as the main internet source.

Without internet, the pass may not display or verify correctly, which will be considered traveling without a ticket and may result in fines or additional charges. Please be aware!
