Embark on a legendary journey through the Alps aboard the Bernina Express. Departing from the historic Swiss city of Chur or the alpine resort of St. Moritz, the train travels south toward Tirano, Italy. Spanning approximately 122 kilometers, the line passes through 55 tunnels and crosses 196 bridges. The segment between Thusis and Tirano has even been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here are the highlights and three iconic sections along the route:

The Landwasser Viaduct on the Albula Line is a UNESCO World Heritage landmark, and the Bernina Express crosses it on the way from Chur to St. Moritz. If you would like to photograph it from different angles, there are three options around Filisur. Choose according to your schedule and budget. Prices are for reference only and subject to change without notice.

Nostalgic Train (Nostalgiezug), also known as the Crocodile Train, runs between Davos Platz and Filisur. Pulled by a crocodile-type locomotive, it takes you back in time aboard vintage carriages. The journey takes under 40 minutes, crossing the Zügen Gorge and the famous Wiesner Viaduct.
The train offers three carriage styles. The actual train composition depends on daily operations, and not every type is guaranteed on every departure.
Notes

The summer season 2027 starts earlier; on the 24th of April (and not by the middle of May as previously), which means more Bernina Express trains
