Matterhorn Glacier Paradise sits on the Klein Matterhorn at 3,883 m and is the end point of the highest cable car in Europe. From Zermatt, three cable car stages take you straight to the summit, with close-up views of the mountain often associated with the Toblerone logo: the Matterhorn.
This point-to-point ticket lets you choose the destination you want (Furi, Schwarzsee, Riffelberg, Trockener Steg or Glacier Paradise), as a single or return trip. If you also plan to visit Gornergrat or Rothorn, compare it with the Zermatt Mountain Pass.
To make the ride even more special, add a Crystal Ride glass-floor cabin or a Zermatt to Furi open-air cabin. See "Add-Ons" below.
Operating hours depend on the weather. Check live operating hours. Exclusive to Go By Train: a detailed usage guide is included with your purchase.

From Zermatt, take three cable car stages via Furi and Trockener Steg to reach the summit in about 45 minutes. The free green Zermatt bus leaves the railway station every 20 minutes and goes to the Glacier Paradise valley station.

Make the ride up even more memorable with two special cabins: one lets you look down at the glacier beneath your feet, the other lets you stand on the roof with the Matterhorn in front of you.
Your ticket is a voucher and must be redeemed at the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise valley station in Zermatt. Bring your passport so staff can verify your age and name.

With a mountain excursion voucher issued by Feida Travel (or a Swiss Travel Pass), you can take the Red Line and Green Line buses free of charge.

The point-to-point ticket covers the route you choose (Furi, Schwarzsee, Riffelberg, Trockener Steg or Glacier Paradise), as a single or return trip. The Zermatt Mountain Pass gives unlimited rides to Glacier Paradise, Gornergrat and Rothorn during its validity period, and includes the shuttle train and local buses. Choose the point-to-point ticket if you only want one mountain, and compare the Zermatt Mountain Pass or the two-peak pass if you plan to visit two or more.
Crystal Ride cabins are four crystal-decorated cabins between Trockener Steg and Glacier Paradise, with a glass floor that turns transparent during the ride. It costs an extra 10 CHF per section, per direction, with single or return options, and no STS discount applies. With a one-way add-on, you ride the Crystal Ride cabin going up and a regular cabin coming down at no extra cost.
The open-air cabin is available in summer only, and only on the outbound Zermatt to Furi direction, with no return. When reserving, note your preferred time (for example, going up between 9:00 and 10:00). Exact time slots follow the seasonal announcement.
You can change your travel date at the Glacier Paradise station. Alternatively, ask station staff to note on your voucher that it was not used because of the weather, then apply for a refund from the original seller after you return home.
Children under 9 on the travel day travel free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. We recommend carrying the child’s passport in case of ticket checks.
