The point-to-point ticket covers only the Rothorn route you choose, with single or return options depending on your destination. The Zermatt Mountain Pass gives unlimited rides to Rothorn, Gornergrat and Glacier Paradise during its validity period, and includes the shuttle train and local buses. Choose the point-to-point ticket if you only want to visit Rothorn, and compare the Zermatt Mountain Pass if you plan to visit two or more mountains.
We recommend a single ticket from Zermatt to Blauherd plus a single ticket from Sunnegga to Zermatt. The walk starts at Blauherd and ends at Sunnegga, so you do not need a return ticket.
In order, they are Stellisee, Grindjisee, Grünsee, Moosjisee and Leisee. The route is mostly gentle downhill and ends at Sunnegga.
You can change your travel date at the Rothorn station. Alternatively, ask station staff to note on your voucher that it was not used because of the weather, then apply for a refund from the original seller after you return home.
Children under 9 on the travel day travel free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. We recommend carrying the child's passport in case of ticket checks.
